The New Gen Board is a powerful new addition to Madi’s Movement—a youth-led advisory group made up of young adults who are currently in, or have aged out of, the foster care system. Designed by and for youth with lived experience, this board is all about creating space to be heard, to lead, and to drive real change. Members come together to support one another, shape programs and policy, and build a future where independence and impact go hand in hand. Even more exciting, the board is led by two of our very own: Kaitlynn and Quay serving as Board Chair and Co-Chair—both fierce advocates who have grown through the movement and are now guiding others toward independence and empowerment.
Whether you’re still navigating care or forging your own path, this board was built for you. Open to young adults ages 17–25 with foster care experience, the New Gen Board is more than a seat at the table—it’s a platform to elevate your voice, grow your leadership skills, and be part of a team that truly gets it!
