Quay is one of the many inspiring young adults at the heart of Madi’s Movement. As a student at Florida State University pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Criminology, she is deeply committed to creating a better future—not only for herself but for generations of foster youth to come. Her dedication to advocacy was on full display when she joined the Justice in Action panel at our Pathways to Employment: A Career Readiness Expo, where she spoke powerfully about her experience in the foster care system and her vision for meaningful change.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Quay is an active member of Florida Youth SHINE in Tallahassee—a youth-led, peer-driven organization of individuals with lived experience in foster care or homelessness. Their mission is to shift the culture of Florida’s child welfare system from the inside out, and Quay plays an important role in advancing that cause. Her passion, growth, and courage continue to inspire us all, and it’s an honor to witness the incredible woman she is becoming.
