Kaitlynn White’s hard-fought journey from foster care into college was recently featured by Tampa Bay 28, spotlighting her courage, artistry, and drive. Growing up, she moved through more than 50 foster homes over 15 years—a life that took its toll on her academics, health, and sense of stability. But everything shifted when she connected with Madi’s Movement. With support, guidance, and access to scholarships, college application help, and mentorship, Kaitlynn made a major turn toward hope. Now she’s studying at the University of South Florida, just a couple of semesters away from earning her degree in Fine Arts.
Alongside her scholarship and degree pursuits, Kaitlynn started her own business—The White Space Studios—where she sells her art and teaches art classes to kids in foster care. It’s her way of giving back and using her creativity as both expression and impact. The feature ends with her message: she wants her story to remind others from foster care that their dreams are within reach, that their voices matter, and that success doesn’t have to be defined by their past.
We are beyond proud of Kaitlynn for stepping into this spotlight. Her dedication, resilience, and artistry capture exactly what we believe in at Madi’s Movement—transforming potential into reality, one life at a time. Thank you, Kaitlynn, for leading with your story and showing all young adults what’s possible!
